Chapin Commerical Construction, a family-owned and operated licensed general contracting company, is building the new headquarters of Heavy Iron Cranes at 4682 Augusta Road in Lexington.

The approximately 20,000-square-foot facility, situated on a nearly eight-acre site, will combine Heavy Iron Cranes‘ two offices and repair shop into a single location, which will feature modern interiors, the latest energy-efficient building systems and a thermal envelope.

The shop includes all of the necessary mechanical, electrical and plumbing to support Heavy Iron Cranes’ state-of-the-art equipment fabrication and repair services, as well as a bridge crane uses for handling heavy loads, according to a news release.

The project is scheduled for delivery later in the spring.
